Here’s a recipe for Homemade Chocolate Truffles that you can make with love:

  • 8 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter (optional, softened to room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract (optional)
  • Toppings (unsweetened cocoa powder, sprinkles, crushed nuts, melted or tempered chocolate)

  1. In a double boiler or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips and butter until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and vanilla extract until light and frothy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the cream mixture and whisk until combined.
  4. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, form the mixture into balls.
  6. Roll the balls in your desired toppings.
  7. Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

These homemade chocolate truffles are extra creamy with the addition of butter. After mixing the ingredients together, let the mixture set in the refrigerator, then roll into balls. You can coat in your favorite toppings and add lots of fun flavors, too! The mixture gets a little sticky, so refer back to my tips in the blog post above 1.

Enjoy making these delicious truffles with your loved ones! 😍
